  • Pine View Cheerleading Team – 1970
    This image depicts Pine View’s first and only known cheerleading team from 1970.
  • First Variety Show
    These photos appear to depict Pine View’s first talent show from 1970. If you know of a name for what this was called or a season that this was performed in (spring, autumn, winter), please do let us know so that we may add that information to this page!
  • Graduation – Class of 1975
    This image depicts the 3rd graduating class of Pine View, consisting of 23 students. The dodgeball game must’ve been rather short that year!
  • Torch – March 15, 1990
    This edition of the Torch newspaper discusses the history of Cobalt and the theme for it in 1990, being “New York, New York.” It also discuses the revival of the Class Play, which was “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, by Shakespeare.
  • Torch – April 20, 1995
    This edition of the Torch discusses the Cobalt theme of 1995, “On Broadway.” It also discusses students’ participation in the Florida State Science Fair.
  • Torch – December 17, 1998
    This edition of the Torch discusses the passing of Ms. Bernice Brenner, one of the teachers who had run the Torch in the past. It also discusses the frustration at the lack of a paved student parking lot, which caused many issues with vehicles due to washed-out potholes and dust.
  • Torch – April 22, 1999
    This edition of the Torch magazine discusses the Cobalt Clue of 1999, which was to hint at the theme of Cobalt for that year, as well as speculating about the undefined game mentioned on the invitation. It also discuses the Superintendent Forums designed to encourage student input into school-related decisions.
  • Torch – May 23, 2008
    This edition of the Torch discusses the policy of students needing to wear lanyards with IDs attached to ensure the safety of students on campus. It also discusses the bias inside of the AP Government textbook as well as the retirement of Mr. McCracken.
  • Torch – March 5, 2010
    This edition of the Torch discusses Deputy Rocco DiNenna’s resignation as the School Resource Officer. It also discusses an increase in taxes to be given to the school board and the potential uses of said money.
  • 2013 Sandwich-Making World Record
    This image depicts Pine View students working together to make as many sandwiches as possible in one hour. Students ended up producing 5721 sandwiches in 30 minutes before running out of materials, destroying the old world record of 2706 sandwiches in one hour. As the event was hosted by Pine View’s Interact Club, the sandwiches were made to be donated to local food banks.
  • Steve Largo Bench
    This bench can be found outside of the administration office and is dedicated to past principal, Mr. Steve Largo. The Class of 2024 is the last class that will remember Mr. Largo, as he retired from Pine View in 2014.
  • St. Augustine T-Shirt – 2016
    A t-shirt from the 4th grade class trip to St. Augustine during the 2015-16 school year.
  • Kennedy Space Center T-Shirt – 2017
    A t-shirt from the 5th grade class trip to Kennedy Space Center during the 2016-17 school year.
  • Choir Universal T-Shirt – 2019
    A t-shirt from the middle school chorus trip to Universal in the 2018-19 school year, where the group won several awards for their impressive singing.
  • Dodgeball Photos – 2022
    It is a natural choice in a school that has no varsity sports to celebrate the end of the year with a game of athletic carnage, dodgeball. Although administration will not admit to the results being rigged, the senior class wins every year.
  • Redesigned Batman Bench
    In 2020, Pine View’s Batman Bench needed to be removed. Not only was it in the way of the construction of Building 17, but it was also falling apart due to countless factors. In 2023, the bench was fortunately replaced, giving students a new place to eat lunch in the shade.
  • Dodgeball T-Shirts – Class of 2024
    It is a natural choice in a school that has no varsity sports to celebrate the end of the year with a game of athletic carnage, dodgeball. Although administration will not admit to the results being rigged, the senior class wins every year. These t-shirts are those worn by the Class of 2024.
  • Seedlings For Schools – 2023
    This image depicts Pine View elementary students participating in the Seedlings for Schools program, which sends wildflowers to schools to plant in the schools’ gardens.
